RECOVER REFRIGERANT: ALWAYS have a certified technician recover the A/C system's refrigerant using proper equipment BEFORE attempting to replace the sensor. Releasing refrigerant into the atmosphere is illegal and harmful.
DISCONNECT BATTERY: Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent any risk of electrical short circuits during installation.
CLEANLINESS: The A/C system is highly sensitive to contamination. Thoroughly clean the area around the sensor port before removal to prevent dirt from entering the system.

Preparation:
Park the machine on a level surface and engage the safety lock.
Have a certified technician recover the A/C refrigerant. The system must be depressurized.
Gather tools, including the correct size wrench (often a crow's foot wrench is ideal) and a new O-ring (if not pre-installed on the sensor).
Removal of Old Sensor:
Take a photo of the electrical connection for reference.
Disconnect the electrical connector from the old sensor.
Place a rag underneath the sensor to catch any residual refrigerant oil.
Using the correct wrench, carefully unscrew and remove the old sensor from its port.
Installation of New COGENG Sensor:
Lubricate the new O-ring with clean PAG or ester oil compatible with the A/C system. Do not use universal grease.
Carefully screw the new COGENG PS-KOM-ACS-1420 sensor into the port by hand to avoid cross-threading.
Tighten the sensor to the specified torque using a wrench. Do not over-tighten.
Reconnect the electrical connector until it clicks securely into place.
Final Verification and Recharge:
A qualified technician must now: Evacuate the A/C system with a vacuum pump for a recommended time (e.g., 30 minutes) to remove moisture and air.
Recharge the system with the specified type and weight of refrigerant and oil.
After recharge, start the engine and turn the A/C to maximum cooling.
Verify that the compressor clutch engages and the system begins to blow cold air.
Check carefully around the new sensor for any signs of refrigerant leaks using a leak detector or soapy water.
