Excavator piston pumps are usually divided into two types: plunger pumps and piston pumps.
The working principle of the plunger pump: The plunger pump reciprocates in the cylinder body through the plunger, thereby changing the volume in the cylinder body and realizing the suction and discharge of liquid. When the plunger moves backward, the pressure in the cylinder decreases and liquid is sucked in; when the plunger moves forward, the pressure in the cylinder increases and the liquid is discharged.
The working principle of the piston pump: The piston pump changes the volume in the cylinder through the reciprocating movement of the piston in the cylinder, thereby achieving the suction and discharge of liquid. The liquid enters the pump body, generates a certain pressure, and is then discharged to where it is needed.
advantage:
The pump body has a solid structure and can withstand high pressure;
The transportation is stable and the flow rate is stable and reliable;
Can be adapted to different media and viscosities.
shortcoming:
The energy efficiency is relatively low and the energy utilization rate is not high;
Maintenance costs are high and require regular repairs and maintenance;
The noise is loud and has a great impact on the environment and operators.
